MY CURRENT BOOK INTEREST: Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts

2006-02-12 - 10:33 p.m.

So I need to go to bed. It's been a fun weekend for all of us, including the snow we all enjoyed today.

Ok, so it's not a joy to shovel the stuff, but the kids enjoyed the sledding hill I built in our front yard.

I've also been busy cooking and so has Frank. He made me Valentine's Day dinner last night...broiled lobster tails. We also had cream of crab soup, and I made fried mushrooms and black bottoms that I couldn't even touch after the food. Oh, and the bottle of wine. Then we worked off the food a bit by dancing and some other stuff. It was a memorable evening. So nice to not have to worry about a babysitter. We just ate a later dinner, and even though we had a few interruptions, it went very nice.

Tonight I made molten lava cakes. Wow. Too good. This idea of eating dinner in is going pretty well so far.

I've been obsessed with cleaning too. Frank thinks I may be pregnant, but trust me it's not possible thanks to that device I have in place. I was so crazy about cleaning our kitchen from top to bottom Friday night, and complaining about the mess, that Frank helped by scrubbing all of the bathrooms for me. Even the floors which were driving me nuts. I feel better now. I still have tons of laundry to do, but the kitchen has remained clean all weekend thanks to my constant cleaning up.

Today was the fun day though with the snow. Noah wasn't enjoying it too much though. Click here if you want to see one of his mini-tantrums on the sidewalk. It's funny to watch him slowly get on the ground to do this.

Here's our snow day on the front yard hill that mommy built too!

And now with my molten lava cake filled belly I'm off to bed and since Nicolas has no school tomorrow and Noah's daycare is closed, looks like I'll be home with everyone. Hoping work closes for me too, but I doubt that will happen.
